
This training focuses on the unique role of the Child & Youth Advocate within a CYAC model, with an emphasis on supporting children and caregivers throughout the investigative process. It explores different advocacy models, and takes into context urban and rural settings, as well as different approaches to the role such as systems navigation, referrals, clinical support, etc. The training explores the complexity of communication across MDT partners and provides practice-based opportunities to create a specialized advocacy team.
